Our electronic media are well known — notorious — for their tendency to emphasize moments of conflict. Tonight we’re looking for not just how people look, or who reacts best when the sparks fly, but who captures the best thoughts, expresses them best, and shows those qualities of courage that were summarized by Hemingway's definition: Grace under pressure.
