Benjamin Barber, Distinguished Professor at the University of Maryland and Senior Fellow at USC’s Center for Public Diplomacy, is well known for his trenchant analysis of civil society in the United States and his view of America’s “brand,” or image. In this interview, made several days before Karen Hughes’ announced resignation, he comments on the state of the “brand,” particularly overseas.
